How an article gets from a question to a published page, and who is accountable for what it says.
How articles are made
Research and drafting are AI-assisted. Specifications are pulled from manufacturers, independent tests are read where they exist, and customer reviews are analysed in volume for the failure patterns that repeat. A draft is assembled from that evidence.
Every article is then read, edited and approved by a person before it publishes. Nothing reaches this site automatically. The judgement about what to recommend, and the responsibility for it, is human.
What AI is not allowed to do here
- Invent a fact, a figure, a date, a temperature or a location.
- Write a first-person account of using a product nobody has used.
- Produce a review, testimonial or quote attributed to a person who does not exist.
- State a price, which must always come from the retailer live.
- Publish anything. That step requires a person.
The first three are prohibited by 16 CFR Part 465. All five are enforced mechanically: the site fails to build if an article breaks them.
Sourcing
Performance numbers trace to a manufacturer specification or a named third-party test. Where a claim rests on customer-review patterns rather than measurement, the article says so. Where the evidence is thin, the article says that too, instead of writing around it.
Independence
No brand pays for coverage, previews articles, or has any say in what they contain. Products are selected before commission rates are considered. See the affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Errors get corrected on the page, with a note saying what changed and when. Articles carry a review date, and assessments are revisited as products change. If something here is wrong, say so — it will be fixed rather than defended.
